3M Cubitron II Cloth Belt 994F features 3M Precision Shaped Ceramic Grain which cuts fast and self-renews during grinding. These high-performing products are ideal for medium to high pressure applications on carbon steel.

Our 3M Cubitron II Cloth Belt 994F features a water-resistant polyester backing, so the belt may be run wet or dry. The ZF-weight backing on 994F provides durability and the mineral is resin bonded to the backing for reliable performance, even under high heat and pressure.

We engineered 3M Cubitron II Cloth Belt 994F using 3M Precision Shaped Grain, a revolutionary advancement in abrasive technology. The triangular shaped ceramic mineral is designed to slice through the substrate, rather than gouging or “plowing” like conventional abrasives, resulting in an abrasive that lasts up to 2x as long as conventional abrasives.

The mineral continually fractures into super-sharp points and edges that slice cleanly through metal like a knife, rather than gouging or plowing as traditional abrasives do. This creates a super-fast cut and lessens heat build-up in the workpiece, reducing heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. Moreover, because the abrasive itself stays cooler and sharper, it lasts significantly longer than conventional ceramic grain cloth belts.

The exceptionally fast cut and long life of ceramic grain make it ideal for industrial environments. Trust 3M Cubitron II Cloth Belt 994F to produce a uniform finish over the life of the product, and reduce the risk for burning during end-grain sanding applications.
