High-Quality Materials for Microfinishing
Our 3M Diamond Microfinishing Film Sheet 675L and its family of discs, belts, etc., was designed to improve productivity and reduce the cost of superfinishing hard materials such as thermal spray coatings, ceramics, carbides, chilled iron, granite and others. It features micron-graded diamond mineral.

Get Best Results with Water
The uniform caliper of this polyester film backing supports both uniform finishes and aggressive cut rates. It is tear-resistant and non-compressible. The sheet is also water-resistant and may be used for wet or dry applications. Water is desirable for diamond polishing, since it cools both the work and the abrasive. Adding a lubricant like water can help keep the abrasive cutting and remove swarf.

Focus On the Task, Not the Tool, With Hookit
The Hookit hook-and-loop feature makes sheet attachment, removal, and re-attachment clean and easy, and facilitates use and re-use of the sheet for the full extent of its abrasive life. Hookit sheets have J-shaped hooks of the type most commonly used in everyday hook-and-loop applications. These J hooks grip the brushed nylon loop backings of any mating 3M Hookit parts – a sanding block, a hand pad or a backup pad, for instance. And while attaching them is easy, they provide a remarkably secure attachment mechanism for even heavy duty sanding.

Extra Details

  • AVAILABLE IN A RANGE OF GRADES: Choose from MED (150+), CRS (120+), XCRS (80+), and XXCRS (60+)
  • HIGH PERFORMANCE: Grade XXCRS lasts 2X longer on mild steel compared to competitive premium nonwoven abrasives (based on 3M internal testing) — while offering edge durability and shape retention during edge wear
  • PROCESS OPTIMIZATION: Grade XXCRS (60+) on mild steel processes 3X more parts than competitive premium nonwoven abrasives (based on 3M internal testing)
  • QUICK AND EASY ATTACHMENT: Convenient 3M™ Roloc™ Attachment System allows for fast disc changes
  • THE SCOTCH-BRITE™ DIFFERENCE: Fibers and sharp abrasive particles are bound together to form an open, three-dimensional structure that allows fresh abrasive to be exposed as the disc wears, resulting in longer life and helping to deliver consistent
  • TOUGH ENOUGH FOR HEAVY-DUTY USE: Designed for high-pressure applications, such as grinding, deburring, edge breaking, blending, and refining
  • TWO INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN ONE DISC: Scotch-Brite™ nonwoven fibers combined with 3M Precision-Shaped Grain deliver improved performance over traditional surface conditioning discs
  • WORKS ON A RANGE OF METALS: Made for use on aluminum, mild steel, nickel alloy, stainless steel, and copper
