3M Paper Roll 466UZ is built with a semi-closed coat silicon carbide mineral on a heavy, F-weight backing. An anti-static treatment helps control dust. 466UZ is a very good choice for sanding and finishing wood surfaces. 3M Paper Roll 466UZ comes in grades from P120 to P600.

Sharp and Smooth
Our 3M Paper Roll 466UZ uses silicon carbide, a very sharp synthetic mineral commonly used for low pressure applications, such as final finishing in whitewood sanding. While it breaks down faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a superior finish. A semi-closed coat means the abrasive grain is less dense, allowing space for swarf to be evacuated.

The heavy F-weight paper backing is sturdy and durable, providing an excellent foundation for the mineral. The smoothness of the backing contributes to the fine finish the total product construction produces.

Dust and Swarf Neutralized
We built an anti-static treatment into the abrasive coat of the 3M Paper Roll 466UZ that neutralizes the electrical charge as it’s being generated by the sanding process, especially on wood. Electrically charged swarf tends to cling to the abrasive surface, the workpiece and the machinery when sanding. When used with an effective dust collection system, this property helps provide outstanding dust control. The life of the abrasive is preserved, and the surface finish is improved.

Recommended Applications
Economical and efficient, abrasive rolls are great for wrapping on drum sanders or can be torn or cut to fit the task at hand. They are great for hand sanding to refine on bare wood or for use with hand and portable sanders.
