Tackle the Tough Ones
Tight areas and tough spots — these are workpiece challenges industrial professionals face when fashioning various parts. Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Discs are springy abrasives that conform to substrates, forgive part protrusions and extrusions, and get inside internal diameters when necessary. But it takes more than a disc to get the job done. We created the 3M Tapered Spindle Mount Adapter to help operators attach their Scotch-Brite 2" and 3" Radial Bristle Discs (sold separately) to their bench motors, so they can get back to the business of polishing and finishing.
Maintenance and Assembly
The 1/16" to 1/2" wide adapter has a threaded attachment type, which locks the bristle disc to the tapered spindle shaft with some simple twists. To bring the system to life, industrial professionals will typically start by removing outer guards from the bench motor and attaching the tapered spindle to the shaft. The 3M Tapered Spindle Mount Adapter threads through the bristle disc's center hole and attaches to the tapered spindle on the bench motor. Once all parts are secure and locked in place, operators are ready to get to work.
Make the Most of Your Disc
Scotch-Brite bristle discs are flexible enough to conform to irregular surfaces, producing consistent finishes even on the most complex parts. Given their small size, they can fit inside internal diameters and help finish small areas. From electronics and aerospace manufacturing to jewelry making and woodworking, our Scotch-Brite Radial Bristle Discs help operators across industries achieve fine finishes. With that in mind, we designed the 3M Tapered Spindle Mount Adapter to help you make the most of your disc and minimize the need for investment in additional equipment.
