Scotch-Brite Super Polish Roll, SP-RL, 2 in x 30 ft, 6 ea/Case
The Science of Polishing and Finishing
Scotch-Brite Super Polish Roll is uniquely suited for polishing and finishing, because it is built with one of the softest synthetic minerals, talc, and it has spongy, responsive open web. Together, these elements make for an abrasive that buffs and shines your workpiece, yet does not cut so aggressively that it gouges or scratches. We focus on the science of combining the right abrasive elements, so you can focus on polishing and finishing.
Combining Nylon Fibers with Talc Mineral
Here’s how it breaks down. The soft-cutting talc mineral is interspersed on non-woven nylon fibers. As the fibers break down during sanding, fresh mineral is exposed. This keeps the abrasive cutting consistently throughout its service life. Gaps between nylon fibers permit debris to escape, minimizing clogging. It helps prolong abrasive service life and reduce smearing – which is especially desirable during applications like finishing and lacquer sanding. Finally, the thick open web holds polishes and compounds, helping with even distribution as the surface is worked.
Roll Form: Offering Enhanced Versatility
One of the best benefits of Scotch-Brite Super Polish Roll is its form. Because it’s a roll, it has great versatility and can be custom cut to suit your project or application. It can be used by hand for precise control, with a hand block for uniform finishing, or on an in-line sander to finish large areas. Independent of project or application, our Scotch-Brite Super Polish Roll is a great abrasive to have on hand when need a sensitive abrasive – one that delivers a lasting luster and gleam without overcutting.
