Scotch-Brite SE Surface Conditioning Belt, SE-BS, A/O Fine, 6 in x 168 in
Smooth Belt Built for High Quality Results
The Scotch-Brite™ SE Surface Conditioning Film Backed Belt is our toughest and smoothest surface conditioning belt. It is an intelligent choice for high quality consistent metal finishes across a range of industries, and also produces excellent results in applications such as coating removal, and scuffing on laminate. The smooth, tough nylon film backing is well suited for use on contact wheels and platen equipment, as well as inline sanders and file belt sanders. Not only does the film backing run extra smooth, but it also stands up to use with water or oil.
The Scotch-Brite™ Advantage
Nonwoven technology makes Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives unique. A combination of fiber strands, resin, and abrasive mineral forms a thick, open web. The spring-like nature of the fibers responds to contours and effectively removes unwanted burrs, soils and contaminants while maintaining the geometry of the workpiece, which in turn reduces rework and boosts productivity. Gaps in the web allow swarf to escape, so debris does not clog the mineral. Fibers in the web continually break down with use to reveal fresh mineral for exceptional consistency, superior cut performance and extremely long service life. From aesthetic finishing to weld blending, deburring and more, Scotch-Brite abrasives work fast and deliver consistent results, part after part.
3M™ Abrasive Belts and Belt Sanders
Belt sanders are used for rapid grinding, sanding, and finishing on surfaces of many different sizes and shapes. 3M offers a broad selection of belts to fit almost any industrial belt sander. Wide belt sanders are used for sanding and finishing large panels. Medium-width belts fit onto edge or portable belt sanders for sanding or blending, and narrow belts are used with file tools in metalworking to access small areas or inside corners.
Fast Cut and Long Life
Scotch-Brite™ SE Surface Conditioning Belts are filled with aluminum oxide abrasive in coarse and medium grades for aggressive cut on stainless steel, harder aluminum alloys and carbon steel. Aluminum oxide is a tough, durable abrasive that provides fast cut-rate and long life, and is widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications.
